Introduction | "An 'early majority' player in the technology diffusion model. Eclectic in tastes and output." That's the blurb. The longer answer is that I became a librarian to teach people how to find what they're looking for and pursue lifelong learning. After ten years in the field, I've shifted from working with patrons one-on-one to coordinating and leading workshops for staff and the public on new directions in library service. The blogs you see here are the results of that work. Beyond the stacks, I'm a naturalized Digital Native who's a whiz with french toast and a circular saw. I can occasionally be found Technical Directing for a local community theater company, coordinating brunches and gatherings of friends, and travelling. |
