Introduction	My earliest memories are of my dogs and Crayola crayons. I am now 49 and I still love my art and my dogs.
Interests	Southern cooking, Bloodhounds, sewing (art and pieced quilts), painting (studio and plein—hence the name), slow food, sustainable living, local farmers markets, our soldiers, gardening, worm composting, trees, clouds, The American South, PBS, Scrabble, reading, Women Artists, knitting, canaries and finches, Amy Goodman, books (first editions), Sunday Beach @ POC, horseback riding, basset hounds, chickens, swimming, watching movies, hiking with my grandkids, nature studies, birding.
Favorite Movies	I am a movie kinda gal. Here are a few: Out of Africa, Jeremiah Johnson, The Education of Little Tree, Songcatcher, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Frida Kahlo, Cold Mountain, Hi-Lo Country, Nowhere in Africa, Master and Commanders, The Yearling (I still cry when the palmetto frond moves to show baby Flag), Blue Sky (Jessica Lange outdid herself on this one), The Wizard of Oz, Miracle on 34th Street, I can go on forever so I will stop here.
Favorite Books	I am a Paulette Jiles fan: Enemy Women and Perfect Storm, Barbara Kingsolver, The Yearling
