About me

Gender Female
Location Nikiski, Alaska
Introduction I came to Alaska from SF Bay Area in 1978, first to Fairbanks, then down to South Central, Nikiski, in 1984. My husband Fred and I raised our three wonderful daughters in our three cozy log house nestled snugly on nearly three acres of land. Here it is, 2011, and we still live and play here. I’m new to the days of ease! Since February of this year I’ve enjoyed my days staying at home and traveling to visit family in Oregon and California. I’m kinda in the middle of a journey to figure out life after the 8 – 5 work life I’ve held on to for so many years. I’m finding there is plenty to do! I love my family, friends and pets and enjoy walks, gardening, reading, hostessing, event planning, cooking, traveling and music. I enjoy yoga and floral design. I have a Bachelor’s in Human Services and am a certified paralegal. I am a member of United Methodist Women, and serve on the state Social and Racial Justice Task Force and am a national book evaluator for UMW’s reading program. I am thankful that God has placed these wonderful blessings in my life and am glad that you are reading this and have taken an interest in Kipling’s Garden.
