Introduction | Update: My how things change and life happens! I'm leaving my original intro for you to read and see the changes. I'm now working part time( two days a week)I'm still married and it's now 34 yrs. We are still blessed with two adult children and several grandchildren 4 granddaughters, one grandson with another grandson in heaven. We no longer do our CSA. We still have 6 dairy goats and an eclectic flock of chickens, downsized to 9 hens and 1 rooster, heritage turkeys. We still have three dogs, and the house cat, sadly passed on, we still have barn cats. Our hobbies range from;gardening, crafts, wood working, blacksmithing, animal husbandry, homeopathics and herbal remedies, cooking from scratch, and preserving what we eat. Living simply, old fashioned, sustainable, frugally, takes a lot of hard work, but the work is indeed very rewarding. There is nothing like sitting down to a meal and 90% was grown, raised or made from scratch right on your homestead. We pray you find this a place to learn as well as share, and that you'd invite your family and friends to visit. |

What challenges you and keeps you going when times are tough? Well God keeps us going through good times and challenging ones too. Learning challenges me and I pray I never loose the interest in learning because I feel when you do, you begin to die.
