Introduction | I have been a working artist since 1981. My business, Paper Scissors Rock - (http://www.psrock.com) is as much fun as it is work, and it is a LOT of both. I currently design and sell clocks and a variety of other gifts which I create in my studio in Olympia, WA. My work is available in over 350 stores nationwide as well as at my booth at Pike Place Market in Seattle. I am a self-taught artist and built my business alone, figuring it out as I went along. It has always seemed silly to me that each of us figures it out by ourselves, stumbling through the process making the same mistakes as those who went before us. I’ve always reached out to newbies, giving pep talks, offering resources, eager to share lessons from my own bumpy road. Over the years many suggested I teach classes. That’s how my second business- Business of Crafts, was born. I don't know it all, but what I do know I'm happy to share. I have written for The Crafts Report, Studio Arts and Crafts Business magazines. Info on classes can be found at http://www.businessofcrafts.com If you are interested in private consulting, sponsoring a class on these or other art |
