Introduction My parents say I was a miracle pug and the toughest living thing they’ve ever met. In 2006 at only 3 ½ years old, I was diagnosed with Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE). It is a little understood disease of the brain that causes seizures and is usually fatal in only days or weeks. But I thrived for 5 1/2 years despite this nasty condition. It wasn’t always easy, but with the love and sacrifices of my mom and dad, I had the best life! My mom wanted to start this blog to raise awareness of PDE and share my story and adventures. If anyone has questions or needs help finding resources and information about PDE, please contact us. My mom would be glad to help in any way she can.
Interests I like to eat, play with my Cuz toy, eat, sleep in with my mom, eat, lay in the sun light or on a hot air vent, eat, give kisses and lick almost any thing - especially the carpet and my mom’s pillow, eat, vacation in Chicago with my mom and dad, eat, open presents and get new toys, and did I mention eating? My mom likes to cook and bake, shop, dine out (especially with me!), and play board games; my dad likes sports and is a big Chicago Cubs and Bears fan (he named me after Bears running back Walter Payton).
