| Introduction | I've always liked the outdoors. Climbing trees, exploring on foot and riding my bike were some of my favorite moments growing up. By the time I was 13 I had lived in 3 countries and several states. I saw beautiful lands and met interesting people. I was fortunate to enjoy the history of different cultures and colorful landscapes. Portland Oregon was my favorite childhood home. I grew up on Flander's Street-- near the author Beverly Cleary's neighborhood. It was here that she wrote about Henry Huggins' neighborhood, just like my childhood memories. I've always loved to read, and music was an essential part of my life. I began playing the piano at 5. I've always been kind of a curious person. I ask a lot of questions and I enjoy hearing people's stories. |
