| Introduction | My husband and I live and work in the Parker Street Neighborhood of Lakeland Fl. Tim is the Executive Director of Parker Street Ministries. We have been working in this community for over 12 years. We are always learning as we try to live out the gospel in this inner-city neighborhood. We live where we work because we feel it is the most effective way to show a community the love of Jesus. My husband and I are parents to a 17 yr. old. We took him in 4 years ago, when the state removed him from his mother's home. It is a very humbling job-that of a parent. I am often very overwhelmed, but we love having James as apart of our family. I love art and making art. I am daily trying to use the gifts that God has given me. I enjoy sewing, painting and ceramics. I seek to connect my art to the work we do in our neighborhood. |
