Introduction After a varied career that included teaching high school French and Spanish, working at a Honorary Mexican Consulate, and international marketing for several companies, and working in international admissions for Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL, I'm now taking a "breather" to see what comes next for me. My husband Cliff and I have raised wonderful twin daughters, Allyson and Amy, who recently graduated from Southeastern and are on the brink of beginning their own teaching careers. So after 30+ years, it's time. I'm back in school, working on an MA in History and Culture through an online program of Union Institute and University. My area of concentration is art history, and within that field (surprise!), French Gothic. The element in French Gothic that captures my imagination most is the medieval obsession with light and using it in the great monumental cathedrals.I hope to convey a little bit of that beauty and mystery with this site. I don't know exactly what lies in store for me beyond earning this degree, but I plan to enjoy the journey and invite your company and comments along the way.
