| Introduction | A life long student of the American Civil War, I have found my niche in Brandy Station Virginia, when I moved to the Brandy Station area in 2004. I had read of and knew about the battle but, quite frankly would have been hard pressed to identity Fleetwood Hill. Becoming a volunteer at the Graffiti House within weeks of moving, I quickly fell in love with the history of the house and the mysteries it had to tell. The more I learned about Brandy Station during the war, the more I wanted to learn. I am constantly looking for resources to better tell the story of this pivotal community. While much has been written about the June 9, 1863 fight at Brandy Station, there is much more to tell. I hope to at least pass on some of that history. And yes, I can point out Fleetwood Hill today. |
