| Introduction | My name is Dave and I’m a retired old fart whom my wife says has too much time on his hands. Perhaps, but my retirement has allowed me the time to reflect on the state of our nation. In so doing I came to realize that even though I have always been concerned with the economic, social, cultural and political aspects of America I never really participated in the “going-ons”, other than vote which I felt would be all that was necessary to maintain the liberty and freedom into which I was born. How wrong I was! It is necessary to discuss the events of the past century if we are to understand and effect a change in the direction this nation is headed. Fortunately this can be accomplished via the internet/social media and that, simply stated, is the reason and purpose of this blog. The subject matter will primarily be of a political nature espousing the conservative point of view. From time to time there will be material dealing with social, financial, cultural and quasi-religious topics. In reality, all of these subjects are a matter of “politics” and may be discussed on a local, state, federal and even global basis. |
