| Introduction | Dainty Bites is a blog about my life in food. Most of the time, you will find out about what's cooking in my kitchen. Other times, you may see my blabbering on food. And some of the times, you will see things (anything!) that had me spellbound for the moment. Why do I cook? I cook because I can. I cook because I love feeding people around me. And most of all, I cook because I love eating. When I am not cooking, reading books takes up most of my spare time. Books on food literature are threatening to take over the remaining shelf space. In Dainty Bites, there will be alot of experimenting with new recipes and trying out new foods. Recipes used come mainly from my cookbooks, a majority of which are non-Singaporean. You will see many references to Joy of Cooking ('97 ed.) and books from Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen because I love what I can make from them. Join me, as I savour life with dainty bites. |
