| Introduction | "Slashie" is a word I use to describe something that is also something else.A cafe/laundrymat is a perfect example of a slashie. Sometimes a slashie is successful and other times they flail about not knowing which way is up until they fizzle out. I'm a designer/artist/bartender/bicycle mechanic/surfboard shaper. Im in dangerous slashie territory and this blog is an exploration of my flailings and hopefully some small successes as well. I'm inspired by custom "one of a kind" design solutions. Designs that solve a complex problem elegantly and quietly. I'm influenced by many of the craftspeople I have met throughout my life. people who are immersed in a tiny area of interest and have spent a lifetime understanding it. to me they have become more than designers, or artists... they're masters.
