Gender Male
Location North-west Cumbria, United Kingdom
Introduction When I was at school I was always being told off for gazing out the window and I've been gazing out of windows ever since. The reason? it usually seems much nicer outside than cooped up inside. Having a garden and growing my own fruit and veg. allows me to get outside as often as I want....but I still spend a lot of time gazing out of the window. In these blog posts and pages you can see what I've been getting up to in my little corner of north-west Cumbria and some of the people and things that have helped me on my way.
Interests writing, reading, gardening, finding uses for other people's rubbish, collecting rocks and minerals.
Favorite Movies Spoof disaster movies. I've tried but I can't really take life too seriously.
Favorite Music Just about anything. I have the radio on most of day but I do have a special affection for Nick Drake and Vaughan-Williams. That probably makes me very English but there's not much I can do about that.
Favorite Books At the risk of sounding weird I'll have to say The Geology of the Northern Pennine Orefield by K.C. Dunham. I've been dipping into this one for over thirty years. I also like gardening books and thrillers and humour and, oh heck, I just like books.
