| Interests | My name is Maria Farber, I am a full time professional Jewelry Designer and a mom of 2 boys. I have been designing fine and costume jewelry since 1990. I have graduated as a Jewelry Designer/Silversmith from Parsons School of Design in NYC in 1994. And opened a freelancing jewelry design company in 1996. I have worked with many, many different clients in New York City. I have designed for Juicy Couture, Liz Claiborne, Monet, Michael Anthony, BelOro, Simmons Jewelry (Hello Kitty), Fabricant, Sigrid Olson, and others. I see my designs on Shop NBC, HSN, in Wall Mart, JCPenny, etc. Beading is a hobby I do at home. I LOVE designing any kind of jewelry. Any time of the day or night. Every day one has to be a serious adult at work, and to be an authority to ones kids and so on. I design serious things at my work that involve precious metals, stones, fancy techniques and very cool ideas. I love it, but I really LOVE fun crafts. I LOVE to make playful, unserious silly objects and things! Origami is one of my favorite pass times. I love the colors, the textures and the freedom it gives to my creative head. My children enjoy watching me making a flat sheet of paper into a recognizable cute object. And if it is not too complicated they help me along.
