| Introduction | In the Fall of 2011, I left my job to stay at home with my newborn daughter. Things are tight, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I grew up being raised by my grandmother after my mother died when I was just under 4 years old. My biological father left during the pregnancy and started a family elsewhere. Many questions are unanswered, or have yet to be asked. I decided to start this blog as a way to defragment, as many events in my life have not been aligned with my thoughts in a way that I feel brings me solace. And quite frankly, there are just some things that I like to vent about, even if they're completely unrelated to my life (see blog title). I consider myself a modern girl who contains a bit of old fashioned nature. So, I hope that if you join me here, you can share in the moments of discovery as I learn more about myself in order to be a better mother.
