Introduction I'm the author of As The World Dies: A Zombie Epic. The first novel in the series,The First Days, won the 2008 Dead Letter Award for Best Book (Fiction). The second book, Fighting to Survive won the 2009 Dead Letter Award in the same category. Originally self-published, the As The World Dies books were purchased by Tor. The first book will be released July 5, 2011. Also, the series is optioned to become a possible TV show in the future. You can also check out my vampire novel Pretty When She Dies, which has been optioned for a possible film. My latest novel is The Tale of the Vampire Bride and is available at Amazon.com. I previously wrote for The Edge Magazine and Rank & Revue (renamed Reloaded Monthly) in the mid-00s, before dedicating myself to my fiction writing. Interests Reading. Lots and lots of reading. Writing. Belly dancing. Good horror movies. Going to the local goth clubs. Goth fashion.
Favorite Movies The original Dracula, My Fair Lady, all George Romero zombie flicks, Hammer flims, The Fountain, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, V for Vendetta, Fido, 300, Sin City, Grindhouse, The Matrix (hate the sequels) the LOTR series, and a bunch of other stuff. I have no ONE favorite movie.
Favorite Music NIN, The Cure, Bauhaus, Rosetta Stone, Peter Murphy, The Shroud, Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Juno Reactor, etc.
Favorite Books Bram Stoker's Dracula, Sheridan LaFanu's Carmilla, Emily Bronte's Jane Eyre, Agatha Christie, Victoria Holt, Stephen King, early Laurel K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison, Mary Janice Davidson and Tanya Huff. I love a lot more books, but this is just a taste
