| Introduction | Diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer on April 26, 2013, at the age of 38. Talk about a nasty surprise. Since then, I've had a million rounds of chemo, more pills than I can count, four hospital stays, three different SBRT therapies, two major surgeries, and enough insight that my heart has been cracked wide open pretty much forever. |

I like cheesy music, knitting needles, skiing fast, and talking foreign policy (or books. Or philosophy. Or politics. Or wine. Or, as long as I'm being honest, Matt Damon's butt). I love my family, my friends, and my cozy house. Life is unexpectedly good, cancer and all. |
| Favorite Movies | This is basically where I out myself as someone who has nothing important to say about film. I like chick adventure films, James Bond movies (no, not the old ones - the ones with Judi Dench!), fast-paced action thrillers unless they're completely testosterone out, funny stuff, and the odd historical drama. I'm hopeless. |
| Favorite Music | Prince, all the songs on the Glee albums (shut up), Indigo Girls, She & Him, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Megan Trainor, Adele, All the Broadway musicals, Debussy, and spa music, especially with little tinkly pianos. I dunno. |
