Introduction	Just a gal who loves to create pieces of art that puts smiles on my little girls' faces (and secretly myself, too!). Thankful for my hubby and two little girls, who are my harshest critics (and biggest cheerleaders) as I wake each day eager to get to my paint and paper. I also thank my mom, dad, and brothers for my awesome childhood memories, which are inspirations in my watercolors. I really, really love the works of Beatrix Potter, Helen Craig, Quentin Blake, NC Wyeth, Lisbeth Zwerger, Amy Bates, Jerry Pinkney, Lillian Hoban, Hans de Beer, Maurice Sendak, R.W. Alley and many others. I'm inspired by a lot of people, some of whom I have been so blessed to "meet" via this blog...(you all know who you are!) and I am eager to learn and grow so to hear from you is very, very much appreciated! - Shirley
