| Introduction | My wife Kathy and I have spent a good deal of time on board our boat "KathyD". We purchased the boat new in the Spring of 2007. Our travels have included the Florida Keys, Charleston and Folly Beach SC, Jacksonville FL, Georgia and South Carolinas Intracoastal Waterways, Lake Superior and Lake Norman NC. Currently "on the hill" in Stanfield, NC, The KathyD is a 26 foot MacGregor sailboat built in January of 2007 in Southern California. We have logged 8000 miles on her since then and she is now in need of a paint job among other things. The overhaul was not actually planned and came about after a fresh water line broke inside the boat filling the bildge with water. Having to remove much of the interior in order to properly dry it, one thing led to another and pretty soon there weren't anymore parts to remove. I am certainly thankful for my wife Kathys involvement in this, she is one of those Manual/Documentation readers so her way usually works. Even with every part off the boat, with Kathys help I have no doubt this project will turn out spectacular! |
