Introduction Hello, and a warm welcome to my blog! I’m Loretta Grayson, and I live in the beautiful Southern Downs region of Qld, Australia. I create imaginary and geometric landscapes in gouache, oil pastel, collage and mixed media. My artwork is inspired by colour, pattern, map imagery and the book illustrations of my childhood. I also find a lot of inspiration in literature and poetry. You’ll often find me sharing pieces that illustrate the small worlds I create in my head from the much loved lines I have jotted in my art journal while reading. I operate a small one woman business selling prints of my work online, and also exhibit and sell originals as opportunities arise. When I’m not painting, I love to crochet. I mostly create my own designs and occasionally get around to writing the patterns to share. I love collaborative projects, and coordinate the Yarntopians team. We have an amazing group who work together to produce large scale yarnbombing installations for Jumpers & Jazz in July, a ten day yarnbombing and jazz festival held in Warwick, QLD each year. Thank you for reading, and for your comments! Your support is very much appreciated.
