Introduction I am 52, and a native North Carolinian who has adopted South Carolina as home. I became a Christian at age 15,and attended College at Wingate University. I have been in ministry for 30 years, and attended Seminary at Columbia International University. For the past 19 years, I have been a College Professor, and have served 4 schools as an instructor of Bible, Theology, Ministry, Religion, Church History, Western Civilization and American History. During my years in ministry, I have served as Pastor to three Churches in three States, in addition to serving on the staff of three other Churches.
Interests Reading, writing, teaching -- particularly history, religion, theology, Bible and ministry, fishing, hunting.
Favorite Movies Too many to name but, top 5: Star Wars, The Outlaw Josey Wales, True Grit, Westerns, Anything Bourne, anything James Bond, and selected Star Trek movies -- Did I forget the Matrix??
Favorite Music I am pretty versatile -- I enjoy some of everything, except maybe opera. I generally like Progressive, Classic and Alternative Rock, especially with Christian themes and subthemes. I also enjoy Bluegrass and Country music.
Favorite Books FICTION: The Ashes series, the Eagles series, and the Mountain Man series -- all by William W. Johnstone & J.A. Johnstone; also love western writer Ralph Compton, and spy novels by the late Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, David Baldacci, and Ted Bell. NONFICTION: Treason by Ann Coulter, Roaring Lambs by (the late) Bob Briner, and Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence, writings of Thomas Merton -- among many others.
