Her novels have won the RITA Award, Carol Award, HOLT Medallion, National Readers' Choice Award, and have three times been Christy Award finalists. Deborah's first novel, A Vow to Cherish, inspired the World Wide Pictures film of the same title. Deb serves on the executive board of American Christian Fiction Writers. She and her husband, Ken Raney, have four children, eight grandchildren, and recently exchanged small-town life in Kansas—the setting of many of Deb's novels—for life in the city of Wichita.
