Introduction I'm a writer! Which means I love good books, and I try to live life to the full. I'm also a teacher, which means I like young people, and enjoy opening their minds to the many wonders of God's creation. I've written six books now, with my newest being "How Jesus Passes the Outside Test: The Inside Story." In the fall of 2012, our anthology, Faith Seeking Understanding, also came out, with contributions from Philip Yancey, Alvin Plantinga, Rodney Stark, Miriam Adeney, Yuan Zhiming, Randal Rauser, Earl Palmer, and a bunch of other great people. What else? I love growing grapes, peaches, apples, and strawberries, and veggies. I love clear alpine lakes in August when they warm up enough to swim in after a long uphill hike, cross-country skiing under snow-laden hemlocks, fields of spring rape and barley that step up from the river valleys of Southwest China, in spring, and taking our boys to Yellowstone. Christmas, too. Oh, and I live in China, which sometimes makes it hard to connect here.
Interests history, language, religions, gardening, hiking, "exploring strange new worlds"
