Industry Education
Occupation Adult Literacy
Location Tasmania, Australia
Introduction I completed a PhD mid 2009 on Australian grunge fiction, its pre- and postcursors. The thesis reappraised Grunge fiction in terms of the transformations of Australian political culture in the 1980s-90s. It looked at the Neoliberalisation of Australian Labourism during the Hawke-Keating period, and how this project was narativised. I'm involved in local environmental projects and in a previous life played keyboards in various Sydney inner-western bands.
Interests Listening to magpies, watching black cockatoos, kookaburras and green rosellas up-close, reading about the punk and post-punk periods.
