| Introduction | Thanks for visiting my Blog. Creativity is like breathing. I just need it to live and be happy. Always have. But I also need to keep it in balance with other responsibilities. Seems my current interest is jewelry making. I still love painting, drawing and card making. So you will find a mix bag of tricks here. |
| Interests | Hiking, sleeping, art - in all sorts, music, shopping, religion, eating, not necessarily in that order. ABOUT ME Let's see I've been drawing and painting as long as I can remember. Took all the art classes that were available to me in High School as well as 900 hours of commercial art. Went to the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and got an associates in Fashion Illustration. After graduation I worked at a small news paper as the head of Ad department. Ok there were only two of us but I was the head. But then I got the design job I went to school for. I was an assistant knit wear designer. Our garments ended up in stores like Macy's. I also worked as a freelance artist on the side. Started my own business as a (silk) floral designer. I have also worked as an assistant interior designer since '96. Currently working part time....as the work comes it helps support the ministry I'm engaged in. Which I find most fulfilling. Although art will always be a big part of my life. So after some life altering events some years ago...I feel like with the help and encouragement of some amazing friends I can share that portion of me again with others. Well, that's enough about me. |
