Introduction Growing up we all watched our mothers use this old church cookbook to make various delectable foods. It contained many of our grandma's recipes, along with some that always seemed strange. The cookbook is a compilation of recipes from, mostly, farmer wives and country women who cooked from the heart with what was available. Many of the recipes are simple, but occasionally there was a complicated one with fancy ingredients that must have been difficult to locate. Often we have asked where a recipe is and the answer is to look in the church cookbook. Now we are all grown and have families of our own and spread across 3 states we wanted to make better use of the cookbook. So this is our adventure, to make most of the recipes in the cookbook over the next year and determine which ones are keepers and which need to be tossed, and which ones are a REAL adventure.
