| Introduction | I love to sew. I have since I was a tot. After graduating from design school and moving into my first real adult apartment- still with roommates. {Admit it: We've all had one of those "transitional" places...yikes!} I parlayed my sewing skills into making the best of things, whipping up slip covers for old college furniture and sewing fun little curtains for my home. Shortly there after I started the hunt for my own place, so I could fix it up exactly how I wanted. And thats when this blog was born. Now, I'm living in the 'burbs and lovin' settling down putting my affinity for aesthetic to use in my home and anyone who will let me get my hands on their decor! But there's one catch: I'm still a renter. I can't screw holes in or paint the walls, I dont have a huge space and I'm stuck with whatever tile/ carpeting/ cabinets come with my home. Therein lies the challenge. I'm challenging myself to make this completely blank slate of an apartment into something fabulous, on a shoestring budget, just to prove to you that even though you're a renter, you don't have to settle for those 4 plain beige walls.
