| Introduction | Helene lives in Cairns, a tiny slice of paradise teetering on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland. Her work as a Check and Training Captain with Qantaslink, takes her all over the east coast of Australia - and some spectacular scenery! 'Burning Lies', the final book in her Border Watch series, was released by Penguin Australia in July 2012. Her second book, 'Shattered Sky', joined 'Wings of Fear' in being awarded the Romantic Book of the Year title by the Romance Writers of Australia. Both those books were also voted Favourite Romantic Suspense in 2010 and 2011 by the Australian Romance Readers Association. Her next novel, Half Moon Bay, revisits a childhood haunt on the north east coast of New South Wales. 'We spent a lot of time around Ballina and Yamba. I love the small villages and coastal communities, not to mention the great surf! Many of those small towns have grown up now so I invented one called Half Moon Bay and located it very close to Yamba and Angourie - poetic licence is one of the joys of being an author!) |
