| Introduction | Born in the 50's, came of age in the 60's, survived the 70's, was a Mom in the 80's and 90's, and now am a 21st century granny, with her heart still in the 50's. I liked it better when we didn't know quite so much about people's very personal lives, we had more manners and respect, and the kids could play outside and not have to worry about "stranger danger". I miss penny candy, Mickey Mouse Club, Captain Kangaroo, the Nelson's, Gunsmoke, and Red Skelton, you know, good clean fun. I would give up this blog, my cell phone, this computer, and all those techno gadgets to go back to the kinder, gentler nation that we were. |
