| Interests | “I like freedom and peace and honorable people. I like moments of quiet mixed with moments of euphoria and I am envious of those that can defy gravity. I am a dancer in my mind and on my canvas (but I can’t dance) so if it takes my breath away, even if only for a moment, it becomes my subject matter.” My works have been displayed and sold at the WAL gallery in the Woodlands Texas, the First Saturday Art Market in the Heights and at other events and venues. My brother was an artist before me. He committed suicide in 1990 and left his art supplies to me. It took me several years before I could even open the box, but when I did, painting became my therapy and saved me. In memory of my brother I place a small lightning bolt (like the small tattoo my brother had) in each work. Part of the fun of my work, is looking for this mark. All works are mixed media on canvas or board and all works are sealed and ready to hang. |
