About me

Occupation Illustrator
Introduction My studio is a sunny little den on the third floor of an ancient house in a tiny little town somewhere in the middle of Massachusetts. It is there, with only my two pet rats and my imagination to keep me company, that most of my creations are born. (The rest being born on the living room floor in front of the tv with a long movie and plenty of carbonated caffine to keep me awake until I finish.) My husband rarely crosses the threshold of my den as he prefers to remain blissfully unaware of the frenzied process of creation, but rather wait to view the nice neat finished product. Which works for me as I am much more cheerful and agreeable when I'm done. The rats don't mind either way as long as they get treats. My favorite things to paint are nature, animals, and folklore from all over the world, but my subject matter is much more varied because not everyone wants to see the same things I would want to paint. As I paint more I find there are a lot more subjects I enjoy painting and that makes me a very happy illustrator.

Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.

I do wear a scarf. It's long and brown and can wrap around me three times and still hang down past my waist. My brother gave it to me and I love it!
