About me

Introduction	I am from New York, but have also been blessed to live in several different places, meeting the most wonderful people including Texas which is our current home. I still consider myself a New York girl, (I guess you could say, you can take the girl out of New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl) hence the name New York State of Mind. From one lover of decadence to another, my blog will feature a few of my favorite things...XOXO
Interests	Shopping, Decorating, Reading Books and Magazines, Watching Movies, Going to concerts/listening to music, Spending time with my family and friends, Enjoying sparkling wine, cheese and chocolate, Cooking, Baking, Travel, Hosting Parties, Serving non-profits; Planning Galas for the American Cancer Society and Chamberlain Performing Arts, I love anything Tiffany & Co., Being a patron of the arts, Playing Games and...Blogging of course!
Favorite Movies	Casino Royale, English Patient, Sweet Home Alabama, Nothing Like the Holidays, The Proposal, Thomas Crown Affair, Top Gun, Life is Beautiful, Immortal Beloved, Transporter
Favorite Music	Goo Goo Dolls, Bon Jovi, Lenny Kravitz, U2, Michael W. Smith, Natalie Grant, Sheila Walsh, Madonna, Prince, Classical, Latin/Salsa music, BIg Band, Blues, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Duran Duran, James Blunt, Adele, Adam Lambert, Aerosmith, Poison, anything I can karaoke to or is played at a dueling piano bar and I love ALL Christmas music-I start playing it the minute after Thanksgiving!
Favorite Books	Anything by Sophie Kinsella, Mary Jo Putney, Judith McNaught or Cherry Adair, Talk Before Sleep (Elizabeth Berg), Dear John (Nicholas Sparks), All of the Women of Faith Ladies' books-they are all so wonderful!
