Introduction The trials and triumphs of a newlywed couple, their animal menagerie, and their new (to them)home, a 1948 Cape Cod Bungalow. Mary Oliver once wrote: "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" My answer: Anything and everything. Life is really good.
Interests Um, anything and everything. But really, is it in the store? How'd it get there? What really goes into making honey anyway? How does asparagus grow? What does palm oil taste like? How do you make soap? What does the food taste like in ___ country? How many spices have I not tasted (this one is a bit astounding)? Why can't I get fresh strawberry guavas in Oregon (sad sad sad)? How do you frame a house? Why hasn't someone taken pity on me and given me a truck yet? Seriously, I need one. Goldie has hauled too much lumber for her four-door-Camry status. Anyone need some free rocks? I have a few from de-rocking my garden beds. Or a few tons. Enamel paint SMELLS, but boy does it work well. Here's to having paint on my hands that I can't get off for 3 days running. Ooh baby, I'm professional. Why do dogs roll in smelly things? Why do dogs EAT smelly things. My dog has cat poo radar, and runs to eat it from like a mile away. Consistency of peanut butter. GROSS. No kisses for you, doggie. How do you learn how to make good wine? And really, as you're learning, are you 80% drunk 100% of the time? More to come. Feel free to entice me with more ideas.
