Introduction	Sam loves what she does and it shows! Her passion for photojournalism began in 2001 when she began shooting to supplement the newspaper stories she was writing. In 2005, Sam photographed her father's wedding and was straightaway smitten. At the same time, she was planning her own nuptials and those combined experiences led her to begin her wedding photography business that month and joined the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) in 2006. Her editorial photographs have been printed in publications from Maine's Morning Sentinel to the Washington Post– and her wedding work has found its home on refrigerators, walls and bedside tables throughout New England. In July of 2007, she was awarded a 7th place for Creative Portrait and 18th place for Ceremony photograph in the WPJA's quarterly international contest. In the fall of 2007, Sam placed third in the Ceremony category of the first annual WPJA/BRIDES magazine photo contest.
