| Introduction | I started blogging in March of 2007. I have continued this, sometimes frequently, sometimes not. My "style" has slowly emerged. My life, like many others has had ups and downs. Early widowhood (at age 59) was not in my plans, but it happened. Through most of my blogging career, I have "talked" with my friends and followers who read "me" (aka, my blog). I have connected with fellow bloggers - some family, some internet friends because of shared interests or common circumstances. I love to laugh, I love to live, and I love to love. Relocated to northern MN (summers only, please!) and to Tampa, FL, for winters. I'm a retiree who has only recently stopped working. Long story behind that short statement... As if my early widowhood was not enough of a challenge, I am now coping with (1) cancer treatment, (2) a repaired relationship, and (3) putting the online dating process on "hold" while I work thru my health and current relationship challenges. I think of blogging as my version of journaling - and reading and commenting on others' blogs helps me a lot. Who links to me? |
| Interests | Music, good friends, better wine, genealogy, cooking and baking (and NO, I am not fat). |
| Favorite Music | artists: Mary Chapin Carpenter, Billie Holiday, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Billy Joel, Linda Ronstadt, etc. Love a variety of stuff. I like jazz, blues, country, old rock (okay, music and artists that I grew up with), and songs from some musicals. |
| Favorite Books | old Nancy Drew books (I have a few printed in the '30's and '40's). I love murder-mysteries by various authors - the gorier, the better! Not really - but details about autopsies do not bother me. I appreciate well-written ones, like the John Sanderson series. |
