Introduction | After Simon was born, I started looking around Marin for options to recycle kids clothing. They outgrow things so quickly, it seemed wasteful to buy new clothes so often. I want nice things for him to wear, but dislike the thought of only getting 2-3 wears out of things. The local consignment shops only have room for the top items, they cannot take out of season items or too much of one size. I wanted some old sweats for him to play in, to paint and mess up without worrying that I paid $25 for whatever he was wearing. So, I waited until the 2-3 times/year Mother’s Club sales rolled around and stocked up if they had anything left by the time I rolled out of bed and made it over. I wondered if there was a way to do consignment sales more regularly than the local Mother’s Clubs...and Marin Kids Consignment was born. |
