| Introduction | City Greens Produce is a collaboration between Midtown Catholic Charities and local farmers that begin in 2009. Our mission is to provide access to fresh, quality and affordable produce to neighbors, to promote healthy living in the community, and to provide space for members to interact. We recognize the importance of knowing where our food comes from and supporting local farmers as part of our extended community. At City Greens we believe nutritious food is an essential component of a happy and healthy life. Food is our body's fuel. Our community should have access to healthy, fresh, and affordable choices to fuel our bodies and minds. People unite around food--sharing meals and memories with family, friends and neighbors. At City Greens our community is uniting to make sure each of us has the opportunity to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables - from the good earth to our family's tables. |
