Introduction Welcome! While I started this blog in 2009 to post assignments for an entry level digital media class, I found it to be quite a fun way to express my thoughts & post my photography and progression of clay work, so I decided to keep it going. While taking a year & a half of art classes @ SOU in Southern Oregon, I still traveled to New Mexico for work during quarter breaks, & finally decided I'd give it a go here for awhile and see what happens. I've now been here 3 years, enrolled in back to back clay classes of all sorts, learning as much as I can about the wild world of ceramics! I not-so-secretly dream of having my own studio & all the free time in the world to create to my hearts content. I'm a mountain girl at heart & love nature, & places that are wild. I've loved photography since as long as I can remember, and have a penchant for documentation through photo narratives... be it artistic process, hiking, travel, life. My big dreams are larger than my current reality, and it seems I am continually seeking a balance between following my artistic dreams, and making ends meet.
Interests hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, just being out in nature in general, yoga, road trips, travelin', friends, family, nice people, photography, printmaking, ceramics, micaceous clay, salt/soda firing, making stuff, learning something new, movies, (especially really ridiculous romantic comedies, ) really good coffee, reading, afternoon naps, (which occur far too rarely-like never), pretty much any form of chocolate
