Introduction | Artist, cartoonist, musician, composer.Formerly maintained an art/music studio in San Francisco from 1985 to 2007. Alumnus of various neat bands like NBC (Neighborhood Bass Coalition),CHOTCHKE, and the noise band BIG CITY ORCHESTRA {1982-1996}, co-composing the cd's BEATLERAPE, THE CONSUMER, and the kid's record A CHILD'S GARDEN OF NOISE with them. I do portrait commissions of people, animals and buildings in acrylic, watercolors, and allsorts. My studio currently resides in Western North Carolina where I also play old-fashioned country, folk, bluegrass and classic vernacular Americana on the guitar, mandolin and harmonicii. A gallery of my art is here on Blogspot at : http://mindwrecker-aroguesgallery.blogspot.com/ and I've created several other blogs on various subjects that live in here and are worth a look. Some of my music lives at: http://www.reverbnation.com/neighborhoodbasscoalition and at: http://www.reverbnation.com/chotchke ... And I do a bi-weekly blog posting at the amazing WFMU's Beware of the Blog at: http://blog.wfmu.org/ |

Lately enjoying my ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS box sets ... very high-quality shows. And I've been studying SAM PEKINPAH, and have gone through quite a lot of his work recently. Over the years, I'll wallow in a certain director for a bit and absorb a lot of their stuff: HITCHCOCK, KUBRICK, KURASAWA, FELLINI.... |

When you've got water stuck in your ear, how do you get it out?
Why get it out? I pour a lot more in until I'm full. Much more comfortable.
