| Introduction | Hi, my name is Becky, and I used to be creative, until the responsibilities began piling up.I took a job in sales and the money was sweet but there was little time for my kids and definitely no time for sewing, glueing, or creating of any kind. I was okay with the sacrifice because everybody has to make sacrifices when they work for the man, right? Then I got laid off. I was scared, depressed and worried. I started to brainstorm how I could earn a living on my own. I came up with some kooky ideas, but each one led to another and in the end reignited my desire to create. It would make for a tidy story if I could say that I have stumbled upon my muse and am making a handsome living doing what I love. But that has yet to happen. Whether it does or not is beside the point. The point is I am happy creating, and when I am at my table creating, order is restored to my world. So, I decided that every week for one year maybe more, I will create something and blog about it. I may sew, glue, paint, write, cook, bake, or photograph something. But every week I will create something that wasn't there the week before. Wish me luck! |
