Introduction I've been living in Britain since 1986 after a passionate love affair with the country since I was 17. Now divorced I live with my love Susan, my girls M and A, wire dachsie Waffles, cats Jinx and Bishi, and guinea pigs Ginger, Squeak and Bio. No more room at this Inn! Bio belongs to my Nigerian brother and friend, Davis Mac-Iyalla, who chose and named her during a visit. Her name means Joy, which certainly beats Ginger and Squeak, who are quite jealous. Our favourite book is the Red Tent by Anita Diamant, a story about Dinah (Genesis 34) and the women around her. We were captivated by the image of a tent in which all women would gather for 3 days every month during their menstruation, living together in fellowship and friendship regardless of their station in life. We want our home to be a Red Tent for everyone who needs a space where they are welcome, accepted, can be themselves, can be what or who they need to be, for as long as they need to be. The door is always open. If you’re planning to stay long, bring a bottle. The cooking improves with the quality of wine you bring.
