| Introduction | I have two brothers and one sister who are artistically inclined. I on the other hand can't draw worth a lick. I tried to draw pictures for a treasure hunt for my son who can't read, and he couldn't decipher my best drawing of a refrigerator. Since I cannot make art, I studied it. I have a bachelor degree in Art History from BYU. I did a study abroad in Paris where I had class at the Louvre each Wednesday. I have long adored the fine arts. I also have a major obsession for makeup! I read about it, I wear it, I even dream about it. My makeup has become my art pallette. I find inspiration in the art work I studied. I can wear a smoky eye similar to the smoky sfumato technique used by Leonardo Da Vinci. It's fun to play with light and dark the way Rembrandt did with chiaroscuro. Maybe I'm in the mood to play up gold colors like Klimt. Who doesn't love spring colors inspired by Monet. Whatever the occasion art inspires my makeup, and I have fun with it! |
