Introduction I call myself Lucky. I was born in the year 1989. I was the 52nd baby in the world to get a heart transplant, back when the world was still doubtful of organ donation as an ethical treatment for sick little kids with congenital heart defects. Anyway, I have gone along my merry little way, that is, until June 15, 2011, when after a good year at a BYU, I came home with an undetected pneumonia, which woke up my immune system long enough to attack the heart and leave it at a 10% heart function. After a strong dose of immune-suppressant drugs, the rejection was under control, and the ejection fraction (Heart function) had increased to 35%. With the possibility of improvement. On July 22, 2011 I was diagnosed with post-transplant vasculapathy disease. As a result, I was put on the national heart transplant waiting list. On August 24, 2011, I said good bye to the 22 year old transplanted heart and welcomed the arrival of my 2nd heart transplant. I am currently re-cooperating from transplant surgery. I use this blog to tell people about my adventures, share fun ideas about life, and to inspire others to live life to the fullest!
