Introduction	My background is as a visual artist and training came from not only "a good art school education" but the greatest teacher of all - Life! I grew up in North Queensland which is coastal and tropical; a precious and unique place where the rainforests meets the sea. It provided me with a rich tapestry of geographical as well as social exposure, and gave me my foundation as a young adult discovering my place in the world. I originally trained as a painter but I have always had an interest in all art forms (visual, performing, music to name a few!) and expanded my canvas (literally and metaphorically) to expand beyond this medium. Since then, travelling to Europe, Asia and across Australia has enriched my outlook of the world and people around me. Through my art work, images rich in layers and textures, I explore all that is intrinsically human and in particular feminine. I think the quote "the present is just a moment passed" sums up our fragile existence and offers an insight into the world of what my art work explores. sandradarlingvisualart@gmail.com

Favorite Movies	Anything that makes me laugh, cry, and smile... and think ... and weep - sometimes in joy sometimes in sorrow.
Favorite Music	Honestly? most music .... rock, pop, jazz, blues, classical, opera, ..... some folk......dance .... ummm shake a tail feather stuff he he he ...... hip hop hippity hop and you can't stop! ok you get the idea :)
Favorite Books	Anything that inspires me or gives me insight, or makes me think! ...such as men are from Hell Woman are from Venus! hehe .... kidding.... though I have read it ... along with The Bride Stripped Bare ... phew
