| Introduction | I founded PLASEEBO CUSTOM http://plaseebo.net/ in 2005. My shop is dedicated to creating unique one of a kind collectible figures and designing original figures for limited edition production. I am attracted to passed-over or lost objects and I like to incorporate in my designs various bits and pieces of broken or discarded figures, dolls, dentures, skulls, things that have been abandoned or found at flea markets. I call the way I build my figures "Frankensculpt", because they are cobbled together from unrelated parts in a sculpting process which breathes a new life into them. I like my figures to be edgy, quirky, punkish, dark, more like Franz Kafka than Walt Disney. |
