Introduction | * Resides Denver, CO, formerly of metro L.A. * Retired mgr health services. Consulting business for information acquisition & analysis. * Practicing genealogist since 1995, specializes in families in Westward Movement 18th to 20th centuries and finds these present unique & difficult problems for family history. Believes historical context is a valuable and under-utilized tool in genealogy. * Genetic genealogy since 2003, attributes major breakthrough to Y-DNA. However, not a substitute for traditional genealogy. * Contributes to several genealogical mailing lists and is co-moderator of one. * Descends from Taylor line whose original immigrant ancestor (OIA) arrived Virginia in 1654 and whose descendants spread out through many states.
