Introduction Obviously I'm a fiber nut. I learned to hand knit when I was living in England from 1962-1965. We were living off base near Greenham Common AFB. I loved visiting the local yarn shop in Newbury, the town we lived in and I was expecting my 3rd baby. My next door neighbor and her mother were busy knitting for her new arrival. It was the perfect time for me to learn and learn I did. I don't think I ever put needles down after I started. Even now I like to sit down and knit by hand but more often than not I knit most of my projects on my machine simply because they go faster. I also love to machine embroider and spin and weave and honestly--I love combining all these things into 1 project. I hope I can inspire others to join me in this venture.
Interests machine knitting, hand knitting, machine embroidery, spinning yarn
Favorite Movies I like lighthearted movies that I can watch while I knit. The last movie I watched was "Its Complicated" Funny.
Favorite Music Lite Rock, Bee Gees, Elton John, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Brooks and Dunn!
Favorite Books I pretty much stick to Kindle books now because I can read them on my iPad, iPhone and Kindle. Latest books read: Debbie Macomber's Shop on Blossom Street and the follow-up stories. Read The Kite Runner, love the book and saw the movie which was pretty much true to the story. I am now listening to A Thousand Splendid Suns about a woman who grew up in the Middle East. Right now I'm reading Alaska because I've planned a trip to Alaska in the future. Even if I wasn't going there I'd love the book.
