| Introduction | Hi there! I'm Shelly and this is my blog. I'm originally from Canada, but after meeting a tall dark stranger in a bottle shop (long story), I followed him across the world where he presented me to his family as his 'souvenir' from his travels. We travelled together through Southeast Asia and parts of Europe before settling in Australia, which we have made our home. We married in my husband's birth country of Fiji, and in 2001, I became an Australian citizen. Now, I'm a true blue Aussie, but with a Canadian accent. Along came our two boys and suddenly the big smoke of Sydney no longer seemed appealing. We moved to the tropical far north of Queensland. We now enjoy bushwalks, visiting swimming holes and walks along the beach, with the odd cyclone thrown in to make things interesting. I share stories, photos, recipes, music, things that are funny and useful tips. It's a bit of this and that...with added frangipani. |
