Tess Malone

About me

Industry Student
Location Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
Introduction A self-professed nerd, Tess spent much of her childhood waiting for her Hogwarts letter to arrive in the mail. Eventually she decided the next best thing was to read and write herself into worlds more interesting than her own. You can find her writing at the GW Hatchet, the GW English Department Blog, and the Loft Literary Center's Writer's Block blog. When not practicing the quintessential writer hobbies such as people watching and finding ways to insert sarcastic jokes into any conversation, Tess is a junior at the George Washington University majoring in English (a legitimate dork degree that condones spending half the day inside reading). She is currently studying abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland for the year and all that entails: haggis, men in kilts, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Belle & Sebastian, shortbread, and trying to understand the local dialect.
Interests Literature, Creative Writing, Photography, Film, Food, Travel, Anglophilia, Gatsby (the dog)
Favorite Books Currently: East of Eden, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, The Great Gatsby, and bad fantasy novels (Harry Potter & anything by Neil Gaiman)
